The Pupose of and How to Create a Crystal Grid
There’s no denying that a crystal grid is a beautiful arrangement to look at, but what deeper purpose do they serve? That largely depends on the creator’s intention, the metaphysical properties of the crystals, and layout or design of the crystal grid.
Intention
What is it that you would like the crystal grid to help with in your life? Some examples of intentions one can set are: clearing negative energy in a space, initiating motivational or creative energy, attracting fertility or abundance, and radiating love and happiness. Once the intention is chosen, crystals are selected to support those intentions.
The Crystals
Begin with the focus stone, the center stone that anchors the design. Quartz crystals are excellent focus stones because of their metaphysical properties. Quartz is found on every continent in the world and is plugged into the electromagnetic frequency of the Earth which makes is a fantastic manifestation crystal. Whatever energy you put into a quartz crystal will be amplified, so make sure you work with the purest intentions. Don’t feel like you have to use quartz, you may also choose other focus stones based on their shape or color.
If you’re using a printed or pre-made grid design energy will flow along the paths to the way stones, these stones will amplify and/or modify the energy of the grid. Think of them like all the spices and ingredients you would add if you were making a soup.
The crystals on the outermost edge of the grid are desire stones and they gather up the energy from the other crystals in the grid. I perceive them more as like an energy perimeter for the grid.
The Design
There are many ready-made crystal grids that are printable on the internet and even crystal grid boards that you can purchase to help amplify the intention of your grid. Pre-designed grids use sacred geometry and numerology to futher enhance your intentions so do your research before you start creating with one. Because I work intuitively with my crystals I prefer to create the layout on the fly. I begin with my focus stone and build the grid from the center outwards.
Before You Begin
Your crystals and the space you create your grid in should be cleansed in the manner that best resonates with you. I design my grids on a big tray lined with paper to minimize glare, but you can use any material or surface, just make sure it’s clean. It helps to meditate for a few minutes to clear your own mind and focus on the intention of the gird you are about to make.
Build Your Grid
You can place the center stone first and build your grid outward, or you can start on the outside and work your way to the middle. Place them in whatever manner you feel called to. Let this time with the crystals put you into a meditative zone and use your intuition to guide you on your placements.
Once It’s Completed
Using your index and middle fingers as a pointer/wand start at the center of the grid and connect the crystals along their design path moving in a clockwise direction. Or if you have made your grid free-form, follow the path of the crystals intuitively. Envision a bright, warm light running through your body and out your fingers as you trace.
Take a few moments to meditate by observing the grid and dropping your attention down to your heart space. Open your heart and mind to feel the energy from the grid and give thanks to the crystals for assisting you with your manifestation. Leave the grid undisturbed for as long as you feel you need it’s support. Let your intuition guide you on when to disassemble it. Remember to thank your crystals for their work and use whatever method of cleansing you prefer to clean and charge them before storing them.
